Superior is proud to educate and promote good financial habits to help members in all financial situations. Superior provides free educational seminars for members and non-members of all ages. In connection with The Ohio State University Extension Office, we brought Real Money, Real World to approximately 24 schools and 1,900 students last year.
Superior also has branches in three area high schools: Bath High School, Lima; West Clermont High School, Batavia; and Wildwood Environmental Academy, Maumee. We are proud to help our student employees learn more about credit unions and finance while helping their peers sign up for checking and savings accounts.
Additionally, credit union representatives frequently speak about financial topics at local schools, nursing homes, and public events. If you are interested in arranging for a Superior representative to speak at your next event or want us to bring Real Money, Real World to your school, please contact Chandler Clarkson, Member Experience Coordinator.
Since visiting Superior Credit Union both Laurie and I have become members and moved money into investments through Superior. With the recent reduction in interest rates, we inquired to see if we could qualify for a better mortgage rate with Superior. We applied online to inquire about refinancing and were contacted within a day by Alisha at Superior. She provided us with plenty of information, answered all our questions and was great to work with. We qualified for a better interest rate which ultimately led to a reduction on our minimum principal and interest payment. This gave us the ability to reduce the time to pay off our mortgage by making the same monthly payment as we were with our previous lender.
