DEFIANCE, OH— Superior Credit Union will celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of its new, full-service office in Defiance, located at 8959 OH-66, Suite B, on Thursday, July 28th at 12 Noon. This branch is now open and is the first Superior location in Defiance County.
Representatives from the Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce will be in attendance to conduct the ceremony. Media is strongly encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be served following the ribbon cutting.
Defiance is a vibrant community and we are thrilled to welcome some familiar faces to the industry at our new location,
said Phil Buell, President and CEO of Superior. The Defiance branch is managed by Tyler Hamman. Laura Kline serves as the Vice President of Sales and Lending – North Region. Michelle Zeedyk is available for all your Private Banking needs. And Cyndi Ensign joined Superior as the VP of Mortgage Origination. Combined, they bring over 70 years of experience in the financial services industry.
As the VP of Sales and Lending – North Region, Laura Kline oversees eight branches and many staff. With more than 23 years of financial experience, she is well-equipped to bring Superior to Defiance.
I have been looking forward to opening our Defiance location since I joined Superior last August,
said Kline. We are excited to bring our full suite of financial products and services to the area. Our goal is to provide our members with great service at the most convenient locations and our Defiance branch is an excellent example of that.
Brick Street Studio Ltd. of Ottawa, Ohio was the architecture firm and Schnipke Builders, LLC of Glandorf, Ohio was the general contractor for the renovation.
Since visiting Superior Credit Union both Laurie and I have become members and moved money into investments through Superior. We have been VERY happy with the service provided by Tim Niebel and others that we have come in contact with. The customer service and value of being appreciated as a member by far surpasses any bank we have been in contact with or used. With the recent reduction in interest rates, we inquired to see if we could qualify for a better mortgage rate with Superior. We applied online to inquire about refinancing and were contacted within a day by Alisha at Superior. She provided us with plenty of information, answered all our questions and was great to work with. We qualified for a better interest rate which ultimately led to a reduction on our minimum principal and interest payment. This gave us the ability to reduce the time to pay off our mortgage by making the same monthly payment as we were with our previous lender.
